Where Can I Find the Best Fishing Spots in Utah?

I found this cool website that I thought had some great information for all those anglers out there.  It is sponsored by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and shows where all the great fishing is in Utah.   The map is interactive and shows the best fishing spots, the slowest fishing spots and everything in between.   If you are planning a fishing trip, why not plan your destination according to where the fish are plentiful?   For example, the hottest spots in Utah as of today are: 1) Pelican Lake (Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass); and, 2) Flaming Gorge (Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Mountain Whitefish, Smallmouth Bass).

Some of the next best fishing can be found at places like Mill Hollow, Strawberry Reservoir, and Bear Lake.   And don’t forget about all the trout located all throughout Utah’s lakes, rivers and streams.   And if you have Internet access you can keep track of what’s happening on a daily basis and change your fishing itinerary in real-time.   Just click on this link – Utah Division of Wildlife Resources – and check out the map.

Camperworld, Camping and Cabins

Camperworld - Mt. Pleasant Cabin

Camperworld's newest cabin at Pleasant Creek Ranch

You’re probably asking yourself why Camperworld Trust would want to put cabins in their Utah outdoor RV resorts? We asked ourselves that question initially and were hesitant about how our members would respond. We were surprised when our cabins were booked for the entire season in just 3 weeks. We thought it was just a fad, but Camperworld members told us that they wanted us to build more cabins. We’ve built 4 cabins so far and they are consistently booked for most of the year. Some of our members also like to bring family and friends camping with them who don’t have RV’s. Guess where they can stay? In the cabins and they love them.

Camperworld has several sizes of cabins, from 400 square feet to 1100 square feet. And the cabins are furnished all the way down to the dishes. Members need only bring their linens and food.  Our cabins are beautiful inside and out.

Camperworld – Low Cost Camping, No Overnight Fees and No Add-Ons

Camperworld - Lakeside Park

A camping oasis in Eastern Utah

According to the Winter 2010-11 issue of the RV Journal (p. 10), private campgrounds are taking advantage of the opportunity to make an extra buck. According to the article, some of these campgrounds throughout California are charging as much as $150.00 per night. Can’t afford that much, just use one of their overflow sites for $37.00 per night. Oh, by the way, these sites are dry camping only. And to make things worse, some parks require that you stay for at least 3 nights on holidays. Are you willing to pay that much to camp? You might as well just stay in a motel if you’re going to pay that much. Even better, just save on gas and leave the RV at home.

Yeah, right!  With a Camperworld Trust membership you don’t have to worry about all the price hikes and add-ons popping up around the country. Camperworld members pay a nominal membership fee every year and then they can camp at their resorts throughout Utah at no extra cost. There are no add-ons, overnight fees, extras, etc. And our members love to travel the country and they only pay $10.00 per night no matter where they go. There are over 300 private resorts available through Camperworld’s affiliate camping program that only charge $10.00 per night. Incredible!

Don’t get caught up in other people’s desire to bilk you out of your hard-earned money. Camperworld is the answer to all your camping needs.  Thanks for visiting and come blog with us.

In case you haven’t noticed, a lot of people are moving to Utah. Why are they coming here? Cost of living? Quality of life? Utah’s great outdoors? All of the above? And since Utah has a beautiful landscape, these transplants will probably be using Utah’s wilderness for their recreational activities.

It’s becoming more difficult to find places to go camping. The State of Utah has been closing state parks over the last few years due to the budget crunch, which is limiting the number of places people can camp. If you want to go spend some time in Utah’s outdoors be ready to plan way ahead. It’s getting tougher to go places because everyone is requiring camping reservations, sometimes up to a year in advance. Because of these restrictions, fewer people are going camping because it is becoming a huge hassle to go camping. Also, get ready for price increases. Public and state parks rely on visitors to keep the parks open. Utah is hurting and the rumor is that state parks will be increasing their camping fees for 2011. Check out the article over at the Salt Lake Tribune. Shouldn’t camping be simple? It is at Camperworld.  With a Camperworld Trust membership you don’t need to plan 6 months to a year in advance to decide where they are going to camp. They can go anytime they want. There’s no begging to get a campsite. Camperworld does not require reservations for its members. Isn’t that incredible? Still having a hard time believing it? “No reservations” has been a benefit that Camperworld members have enjoyed for the last 34 years. Camping has become simple again. Check us out over at Camperworld. We look forward to hearing about your experiences camping in and around Utah. Thanks for visiting and come blog with us.
